The 2001 Lexus SC: Emissions test
Your 2001 Lexus SC needs an emissions test? We do not do mechanical work, but we arrange it and rent you a car meanwhile. Rules on emissions testing differ by province and state.
Your SC and the shop
Mention the trim and engine in your request; parts differ between them. If you have the service history of your SC, have it ready for the shop. Tell the shop about any warning light or sound you have noticed.
Our part and the shop's part
We keep you posted until the car is booked in. You agree the price with the shop before any work starts. Send the car's details and what it needs; we take it from there.
A rental while you wait
A rental from us keeps you moving while the shop has your car. Rent for as long as the job takes, by the day or the week. Your offer shows the delivery fee if you want the car brought to you.
A short checklist
Ask whether the shop needs your keys, the wheel lock key or the spare. Ask whether the shop will check anything related while the car is there. Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree.
Between shop visits
Keep the fuel tank above a quarter in winter. Check that all lights work every few weeks. Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due.
Let us know
Need a rental too? Add it to the same request.
Request emissions test
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
