Emissions test: how we help
The Saab 9-3 and an emissions test: CarmaCars arranges a trusted shop, and never does the work itself. Rules on emissions testing differ by province and state.
Your car, your notes
Say whether the car is drivable; it changes how it gets to the shop. A photo of the dashboard warning light helps the shop prepare. Bring the owner's manual or service records if you have them.
What to send us
The shop sets the price and the time after seeing the car. The repair is between you and the shop; the rental is with us. Send the car's details and what it needs; we take it from there.
Driving while yours is at the shop
Add a rental to the same request as the repair. We deliver the rental to you and collect it when your car is ready. Your offer shows the delivery fee if you want the car brought to you.
Before the shop starts
Ask when the car will be ready and how the shop will tell you. Ask whether the shop will check anything related while the car is there. Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree.
Between shop visits
Replace wiper blades when they streak; it matters in rain and snow. Keep the fuel tank above a quarter in winter. Wash the underside of the car in winter to clear road salt.
Over to you
Ask in your request, and we tell you plainly what we can arrange.
Request emissions test
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
