The Saab 9-4: Emissions test
CarmaCars does not do mechanical work, but for an emissions test on the Saab 9-4 we arrange a trusted shop. Rules on emissions testing differ by province and state.
Your car, your notes
The shop may ask for the VIN to order the right parts. Tell the shop about any warning light or sound you have noticed. Note the mileage on the odometer when you send the request.
How we help
The shop sets the price and the time after seeing the car. Tell us when suits you, and whether the car can be driven. We tell you plainly if we do not know a shop for the job.
A rental while you wait
Rent for as long as the job takes, by the day or the week. The rental is priced like any other on our site. Collect the car at our location for free, or have it delivered.
Good habits for your car
Listen for new noises and mention them to the shop with as much detail as you can. Keep the fuel tank above a quarter in winter. Keep the spare, the jack and the wheel lock key where you can find them.
Before the shop starts
Ask how the shop takes payment before you pick the car up. Ask the shop to call you before doing anything not on the estimate. Ask when the car will be ready and how the shop will tell you.
Send a request
Tell us what is wrong with the car, and we arrange the rest with a trusted shop.
Request emissions test
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
