Emissions test: how we help
For an emissions test on the 1981 Saab 900, a trusted shop does the work and CarmaCars arranges it, with a rental if you need one. Rules on emissions testing differ by province and state.
About your 900
A photo of the dashboard warning light helps the shop prepare. Your owner's manual lists the maintenance schedule for the 900. If you have the service history of your 900, have it ready for the shop.
Who does what
You approve the shop's quote before any work. The shop quotes the job; you approve it before any work. The shop sets the price and the time after seeing the car.
A rental while you wait
We can have a rental ready the day your car goes in. Keep moving with a rental while the shop has your car, by the day at our usual rates. We deliver around Toronto; pickup at our location is free.
Good habits for your car
Have the cabin air filter changed on the maker's schedule. Use the grade of fuel your owner's manual calls for. Clear snow off the whole car, roof included, before you drive.
What to ask
Ask whether the quote includes both parts and labour. If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it. Ask how long the job should take, so you know how long to rent for.
One more step
Ask, and we tell you plainly what we can arrange.
Request emissions test
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
