Emissions test: how we help
Your STI S209 needs an emissions test? We do not do mechanical work, but we arrange it and rent you a car meanwhile. Emissions tests are required in some provinces and states; a licensed shop does the test.
Your S209 and the shop
If you have the service history of your S209, have it ready for the shop. Tell the shop about any warning light or sound you have noticed. Your owner's manual lists the maintenance schedule for the S209.
What to send us
You agree everything with the shop before work begins. The shop sets the price and the time after seeing the car. You approve the shop's quote before any work.
No car? Rent one meanwhile
Keep moving with a rental while the shop has your car, by the day at our usual rates. We deliver the rental to you and collect it when your car is ready. We deliver across the Toronto area, or you collect the car from our location for free.
Good habits for your car
Keep the spare, the jack and the wheel lock key where you can find them. Wash the underside of the car in winter to clear road salt. Keep a record of every service; it helps the shop and adds value when you sell.
A short checklist
If the car must stay overnight, ask where it will be kept. Ask if the shop needs the car for a full day or only a few hours. If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it.
Questions first?
Ask, and we tell you plainly what we can arrange.
Request emissions test
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
