Emissions test: how we help
Your 1985 Subaru GL needs an emissions test? We do not do mechanical work, but we arrange it and rent you a car meanwhile. Emissions tests are required in some provinces and states; a licensed shop does the test.
Your GL and the shop
Bring the owner's manual or service records if you have them. Tell the shop about any warning light or sound you have noticed. Mention the trim and engine in your request; parts differ between them.
How the arrangement works
Send the car's details and what it needs; we take it from there. The shop sets the price and the time after seeing the car. You approve the shop's quote before any work.
No car? Rent one meanwhile
Rent by the day while the shop has your car. A rental from us keeps you moving while the shop has your car. We deliver across the Toronto area, or you collect the car from our location for free.
What to ask
Ask whether the shop will check anything related while the car is there. Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree. Ask what warranty the shop gives on its parts and labour.
Small things that help
Listen for new noises and mention them to the shop with as much detail as you can. Have the cabin air filter changed on the maker's schedule. Follow the maintenance schedule in your owner's manual, by time or distance.
Send a request
Ask, and we tell you plainly what we can arrange.
Request emissions test
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
