Arranging the work for the Model S
Your 2017 Tesla Model S needs an emissions test? We arrange a trusted shop; CarmaCars does not do the work. Emissions tests are required in some provinces and states; a licensed shop does the test.
Before the shop sees your Model S
Say whether the car is drivable; it changes how it gets to the shop. Bring the owner's manual or service records if you have them. A photo of the dashboard warning light helps the shop prepare. Its electric motor drives through a 1-speed automatic.
Who does what
The shop quotes the job; you approve it before any work. We do not set the shop's price or promise a date. You agree the price with the shop before any work starts.
A car while yours is in the shop
If the repair runs long, keep the rental longer. We collect the rental when your car is back. We hand every car over in person, at your address or at our location.
What to ask
Ask for a written estimate before any work starts. Ask for the work to be listed line by line on the invoice. Ask whether the shop will check anything related while the car is there.
Between shop visits
Follow the maintenance schedule in your owner's manual, by time or distance. Listen for new noises and mention them to the shop with as much detail as you can. Check the tire pressure once a month, when the tires are cold.
Ready when you are
Ask in your request, and we tell you plainly what we can arrange.
Request emissions test
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
