Arranging the work for the Corolla

CarmaCars does not do mechanical work. For an emissions test on the 2016 Toyota Corolla S, we connect you with a trusted shop. Rules on emissions testing differ by province and state.

Your car, your notes

Mention the trim and engine in your request; parts differ between them. The shop may ask for the VIN to order the right parts. Tell the shop about any warning light or sound you have noticed. The powertrain here is the 1.8L 4-cylinder with front-wheel drive and an automatic (CVT).

What to send us

Your request goes to a person, who arranges a trusted shop or gives you its name. The shop sets the price and the time after seeing the car. You agree the price with the shop before any work starts.

Getting a clear quote

Ask how the shop will contact you if it finds something unexpected. Ask whether the shop needs your keys, the wheel lock key or the spare. Ask the shop to call you before doing anything not on the estimate.

Good habits for your car

Listen for new noises and mention them to the shop with as much detail as you can. If the car pulls to one side, ask the shop to check the alignment and the tires. Check the tire pressure once a month, when the tires are cold.
