A rental while yours is in the shop
CarmaCars does not do this work; you keep driving while the shop has your car. We deliver a rental to you, by the day, at our usual rates.

Emissions test for the Volvo VNC
For an emissions test on the Volvo VNC, CarmaCars arranges a trusted shop and never does the work itself. Emissions tests are required in some provinces and states; a licensed shop does the test.
Before the shop sees your VNC
Say whether the car is drivable; it changes how it gets to the shop. Bring the owner's manual or service records if you have them. Tell the shop about any warning light or sound you have noticed.
How the arrangement works
The repair is between you and the shop; the rental is with us. You agree everything with the shop before work begins. Send a request with the car and what it needs; a person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one.
Keep moving meanwhile
Add a rental to the same request as the repair. We can have a rental ready the day your car goes in. The handover is in person, at your address or at our location.
Between shop visits
Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due. Switch to winter tires before the first snow, and back in spring. Wash the underside of the car in winter to clear road salt.
A short checklist
Ask the shop to call you before doing anything not on the estimate. Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon. If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it.
Ready to ask?
Ask in your request, and we tell you plainly what we can arrange.
Request emissions test
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
