Emissions test: how we help
CarmaCars does not do mechanical work, but for an emissions test on the 2004 Volvo VNM we arrange a trusted shop. Rules on emissions testing differ by province and state.
Your car, your notes
The shop may ask for the VIN to order the right parts. The shop sets its own price and time after it sees the car. Bring the owner's manual or service records if you have them.
What to send us
Tell us when suits you, and whether the car can be driven. You agree the price with the shop before any work starts. You approve the shop's quote before any work.
No car? Rent one meanwhile
The rental is priced like any other on our site. A rental from us keeps you moving while the shop has your car. Delivery and pickup are both options across the Toronto area.
Before the shop starts
Ask the shop to call you before doing anything not on the estimate. Ask what warranty the shop gives on its parts and labour. Ask whether the quote includes both parts and labour.
Small things that help
Replace wiper blades when they streak; it matters in rain and snow. Do not ignore a warning light; an early check often costs less than a late repair. Wash the underside of the car in winter to clear road salt.
Talk to a person
A request is free and gets a reply within one business day.
Request emissions test
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
