Emissions test: how we help
For an emissions test on your 2016 Volvo VNR, we arrange a trusted shop; CarmaCars does not do the work. Emissions tests are required in some provinces and states; a licensed shop does the test.
Before the shop sees your VNR
Tell the shop about any warning light or sound you have noticed. Say whether the car is drivable; it changes how it gets to the shop. Your owner's manual lists the maintenance schedule for the VNR.
How we help
You agree the price with the shop before any work starts. Your request goes to a person, who arranges a trusted shop or gives you its name. The shop quotes the job; you approve it before any work.
A car meanwhile
A rental from us keeps you moving while the shop has your car. We bring the rental to you and collect it afterwards. The car can come to your door in the Toronto area, or you pick it up at no charge.
Car care, briefly
Check that all lights work every few weeks. Replace wiper blades when they streak; it matters in rain and snow. Do not ignore a warning light; an early check often costs less than a late repair.
A short checklist
Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history. Ask how long the job should take, so you know how long to rent for. Ask whether the shop will check anything related while the car is there.
Over to you
Send a request: the car, the problem and when suits you.
Request emissions test
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
