Emissions test: how we help
For an emissions test on your 2020 Volvo VT, we arrange a trusted shop; CarmaCars does not do the work. Emissions tests are required in some provinces and states; a licensed shop does the test.
About your VT
Tell the shop about any warning light or sound you have noticed. Note the mileage on the odometer when you send the request. Your owner's manual lists the maintenance schedule for the VT.
What CarmaCars does here
You agree the price with the shop before any work starts. The repair is between you and the shop; the rental is with us. We follow up until the shop has the car booked in.
Driving while yours is at the shop
A rental from us keeps you moving while the shop has your car. A rental keeps your week on track during the repair. The handover is in person, at your address or at our location.
Between shop visits
Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due. Keep the fuel tank above a quarter in winter. Wash the underside of the car in winter to clear road salt.
Before the shop starts
Ask whether the shop needs your keys, the wheel lock key or the spare. Ask how the shop will contact you if it finds something unexpected. If the car must stay overnight, ask where it will be kept.
Over to you
A request is free and gets a reply within one business day.
Request emissions test
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
