Emissions test for the VPG MV-1
CarmaCars does not do mechanical work, but for an emissions test on the VPG MV-1 we arrange a trusted shop. Rules on emissions testing differ by province and state.
Your car, your notes
Note the mileage on the odometer when you send the request. The shop sets its own price and time after it sees the car. Your owner's manual lists the maintenance schedule for the MV-1.
What to send us
You agree everything with the shop before work begins. We pass your request to a trusted shop or give you its name. You agree the price with the shop before any work starts.
Your rental while you wait
We can have a rental ready the day your car goes in. A rental keeps your week on track during the repair. Your offer shows any delivery fee before you pay.
Car care, briefly
Have the battery tested before winter if it is more than a few years old. Switch to winter tires before the first snow, and back in spring. Listen for new noises and mention them to the shop with as much detail as you can.
Getting a clear quote
Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon. Ask for a written estimate before any work starts. Ask whether the parts are new, rebuilt or used.
Over to you
Start with the car, the job and your location.
Request emissions test
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
