The Merkur: Engine bay cleaning
CarmaCars takes requests for an engine bay clean on the Merkur, and rents you a car while yours is in. An engine bay clean is done with care around the electrical parts. A full detail covers the interior and the exterior together.
Size and finish
Tell us the year and the trim; the details change from one to the next. If something on the car is already damaged, show us in the photos. Photos of the car help us quote it accurately.
Booking a time
We confirm the price and the time with you before any work. Your quote is for your car, not a general price list. Nothing is booked until you agree to the price and the time.
Your car is in; you are not stuck
We collect the rental when your car is ready. Your rental can be waiting when you drop your car off. We meet you with the car at the time we confirm, at your address or ours.
Timing
Most small jobs fit within a day; larger ones are booked over several days. A wash or a light detail takes hours; paint correction, film and coatings can take days.
Looking after it afterwards
If anything about the work looks wrong after you collect the car, tell us. Ask us when the next visit would make sense for your car.
What goes into a quote
The condition of the car matters too; heavy dirt, deep scratches or rust take longer. The quote shows the price for your car and what it includes. We price the job before we start, never after.
Getting the car ready
Bring the keys you use every day, and the wheel lock key if the car has one. Child seats can be taken out so the seats under them get cleaned. Leave a phone number where we can reach you during the day.
