Engine repair: how we help

CarmaCars does not do mechanical work, but for engine work on the 2019 Audi A4 Technik we arrange a trusted shop. An engine that runs rough, smokes or overheats needs a look soon.

Your A4 and the shop

Note the mileage on the odometer when you send the request. A photo of the dashboard warning light helps the shop prepare. Say whether the car is drivable; it changes how it gets to the shop. The 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo does the work, through a 7-speed automatic.

The steps

Your request goes to a person, who arranges a trusted shop or gives you its name. The repair is between you and the shop; the rental is with us. Send the car's details and what it needs; we take it from there.

Questions to ask the shop

Ask if the shop needs the car for a full day or only a few hours. Ask how long the job should take, so you know how long to rent for. Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree.

Car care, briefly

Have the battery tested before winter if it is more than a few years old. Check that all lights work every few weeks. Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due.
