Engine repair: how we help
CarmaCars does not do mechanical work. For engine work on the 2002 Buick Rendezvous, we connect you with a trusted shop. Engine work ranges from a leak to a rebuild; the shop inspects the car and quotes it.
Your car, your notes
Tell the shop about any warning light or sound you have noticed. The shop may ask for the VIN to order the right parts. If you have the service history of your Rendezvous, have it ready for the shop. The 3.4L 6-cylinder does the work, through a 4-speed automatic.
What CarmaCars does here
We tell you plainly if we do not know a shop for the job. We do not set the shop's price or promise a date. You approve the shop's quote before any work.
A rental while you wait
Keep moving with a rental while the shop has your car, by the day at our usual rates. A rental keeps your week on track during the repair. We hand every car over in person, at your address or at our location.
Before the shop starts
Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon. Ask if the shop needs the car for a full day or only a few hours. Ask how the shop takes payment before you pick the car up.
Between shop visits
Check the tire pressure once a month, when the tires are cold. Keep a record of every service; it helps the shop and adds value when you sell. Follow the maintenance schedule in your owner's manual, by time or distance.
