If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it. Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon. Ask what warranty the shop gives on its parts and labour.
Car care, briefly
Have the battery tested before winter if it is more than a few years old. Listen for new noises and mention them to the shop with as much detail as you can. Wash the underside of the car in winter to clear road salt.
