CarmaCars does not do mechanical work, but for engine work on the McLaren we arrange a trusted shop. Engine work ranges from a leak to a rebuild; the shop inspects the car and quotes it.
Details the shop needs
Tell the shop about any warning light or sound you have noticed. Mention the trim and engine in your request; parts differ between them. Note the mileage on the odometer when you send the request.
What we arrange
The shop sets the price and the time after seeing the car. Tell us when suits you, and whether the car can be driven. You agree the price with the shop before any work starts.
A rental while you wait
Keep the rental as long as the repair takes. We collect the rental when your car is back. Delivery starts at $0 plus distance; collecting the car yourself is free.
A short checklist
Ask whether the quote includes both parts and labour. If you want to see the old parts, ask for them back. Ask how long the job should take, so you know how long to rent for.
