Engine repair: how we help
Your Ram needs engine work? We arrange a trusted shop; CarmaCars does not do the work. Engine work ranges from a leak to a rebuild; the shop inspects the car and quotes it.
Your car, your notes
Note the mileage on the odometer when you send the request. A photo of the dashboard warning light helps the shop prepare. The shop may ask for the VIN to order the right parts.
How the request works
The shop sets the price and the time after seeing the car. We tell you plainly if we do not know a shop for the job. The repair is between you and the shop; the rental is with us.
No car? Rent one meanwhile
A rental from us keeps you moving while the shop has your car. We bring the rental to you and collect it afterwards. We bring the car to your address in the Toronto area, or you collect it for free.
Before the shop starts
Ask whether the shop needs your keys, the wheel lock key or the spare. Ask if the shop needs the car for a full day or only a few hours. Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree.
Good habits for your car
Wash the underside of the car in winter to clear road salt. Check the tire pressure once a month, when the tires are cold. Do not ignore a warning light; an early check often costs less than a late repair.
Want a price?
One request: the job, the car, and whether you need a rental meanwhile.
Request engine repair
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
