The RUF: Engine repair
CarmaCars does not do mechanical work, but for engine work on the RUF we arrange a trusted shop. An engine that runs rough, smokes or overheats needs a look soon.
Details the shop needs
The shop sets its own price and time after it sees the car. A photo of the dashboard warning light helps the shop prepare. Bring the owner's manual or service records if you have them.
Our part and the shop's part
The repair is between you and the shop; the rental is with us. Send a request with the car and what it needs; a person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one. Tell us when suits you, and whether the car can be driven.
No car? Rent one meanwhile
We deliver the rental to you and collect it when your car is ready. Rent by the day while the shop has your car. Your offer shows the delivery fee if you want the car brought to you.
Good habits for your car
Look at the tire tread before long trips. Keep a record of every service; it helps the shop and adds value when you sell. If the car pulls to one side, ask the shop to check the alignment and the tires.
A short checklist
Ask the shop to call you before doing anything not on the estimate. Ask when the car will be ready and how the shop will tell you. Ask whether the parts are new, rebuilt or used.
Still deciding?
Tell us the job and the car, and a person replies.
