Arranging the work for the Forester

Engine repair for your 2020 Subaru Forester Premier: arranged with a trusted shop, never done by CarmaCars, with a rental if you need one. Engine work ranges from a leak to a rebuild; the shop inspects the car and quotes it.

Your Forester and the shop

A photo of the dashboard warning light helps the shop prepare. Note the mileage on the odometer when you send the request. Say whether the car is drivable; it changes how it gets to the shop. The powertrain to know here is the 2.5L 4-cylinder, with all-wheel drive.

Our part and the shop's part

Send a request with the car and what it needs; a person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one. We pass your request to a trusted shop or give you its name. Send the car's details and what it needs; we take it from there.

Small things that help

Follow the maintenance schedule in your owner's manual, by time or distance. Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due. Keep an emergency kit in the trunk in winter.

What to ask

Ask whether the quote includes both parts and labour. Ask how long the job should take, so you know how long to rent for. Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies.
