Requesting a car

Every booking starts as a request: the car, the dates and where you want it. Nothing is charged to send one. The reply is an offer you can read in full before you decide anything. Approve it and the car is booked; decline it and nothing happens.

Prices on each car's page are before tax, and the offer adds the tax. One booking runs up to 365 days, and a longer stay renews with a new agreement. Plan for at least 2 hours between sending the request and picking up the car.

Rules for renters

Every driver needs an Ontario G2 or G licence and must be 18 or older. A young driver fee applies each day for drivers under 26. A card in your name pays for the rental, and we see it with your licence at pickup.

Three options cover damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your auto policy, a credit card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Your deposit is held about 1 hour ahead of pickup and released after the return. If another person will drive, add them; they go through the same check.
