Executive car service: the 2000 Ford Taurus
If you need a car with a driver, the 2000 Ford Taurus is one option; this page explains the car and how booking works. Chauffeur bookings are by the hour, two hours minimum; send a request and we reply with the vehicle we can offer and the price.
What the figures tell you
The 3.0L 6-cylinder, paired with a 4-speed automatic, drives it. It runs on regular gas. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.
At 11.9 L/100 km combined, a 300 km drive takes roughly 36 litres of fuel. For 1,000 km, budget about $184.50 at our price setting.
Who it is for
It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else. It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next.
Living with the Taurus
A car body like this keeps the weight low, so it feels settled on the highway. Its 1,104 litre trunk is enough for bulky luggage, a stroller or sports gear.
Renting the Taurus from CarmaCars
Want a car for specific dates? Put them in the request and we check. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. Delivery and pickup are both options across the Toronto area.
Getting the car booked
You start by asking: a car, a start time, an end time. Asking is free. Then we send an offer. The offer shows the price before 13% HST and the deposit. When you approve the offer and pay, the car is booked for you.
Each car's calendar shows the days it is already booked. Longer trips cost less a day: the weekly rate starts at 7 days. Short notice is fine: 2 hours is the minimum before a pickup.
The rules, briefly
You need an Ontario G2 or G licence, valid for the whole rental, and to be 18 or older. Age fees stop at 26: younger drivers pay a daily young driver fee. The name on the card has to match the name on the licence.
The CarmaCars Protection Plan is one of three options for damage to the car; the others are OPCF 27 on your policy or a card with rental car benefits. The deposit is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book. We verify licences and identity for every renter, with no exceptions.
Ready when you are
