Executive car service: 2021 Honda Civic Type R in Java

Renting the 2021 Honda Civic Type R

Executive car service: the 2021 Honda Civic Type R. Here is the car in plain words, and how renting one from CarmaCars works. Chauffeur bookings are by the hour, two hours minimum; send a request and we reply with the vehicle we can offer and the price.

The Civic and Java

If you are starting from Toronto, rent the car here and drive it to Java. CarmaCars is based in Toronto, about 1,933 km from Java, and does not deliver there.

Maydelle, Mewshaw and Oakland are the neighbouring places on our list.

Under the hood

Power: the 1.5L 4-cylinder turbo; drive: front-wheel drive. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

It is rated 6.9 L/100 km combined: about 21 litres every 300 km. At our price setting, 1,000 km costs about $107.

Room inside

It is a straightforward car to drive, park and live with. Its 736 litres of luggage space fit bulky luggage, a stroller or sports gear.

Who rents the Civic

It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next. It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else.

Can you rent one?

If you want this one, say so in the request; we confirm before you pay. There is no exact match in our fleet today. Request it and we search for one, or take a similar car. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now.

What you need to rent

You need to be 18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. Each day of the rental carries a young driver fee if a driver is under 26. We need to see the card and the licence of the person renting.

If you have no auto policy and no card benefit, the CarmaCars Protection Plan is the third option, priced in your offer. There is a deposit for each rental, taken shortly before pickup rather than at booking. Each driver named on the booking signs the rental agreement.

The steps

Choose the car and your times, then send a request. A request does not hold the car, and it costs nothing. A person replies with an offer priced for your dates, not an estimate. An offer is valid for 24 hours, and you pay only when you approve it.

The calendar on each car's page helps you pick dates that work. From 7 days, the weekly rate applies; up to 365 days, a trip never costs more than the monthly rate. Requests need at least 2 hours of notice before the pickup time.
