Executive car service and the 2007 MINI Cooper
If you need a car with a driver, the 2007 MINI Cooper is one option; this page explains the car and how booking works. Chauffeur bookings are by the hour, two hours minimum; send a request and we reply with the vehicle we can offer and the price.
Under the hood
Power: the 1.6L 4-cylinder; drive: front-wheel drive. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.
Its combined rating is 7.6 L/100 km, which means roughly 23 litres for 300 km. A 300 km round trip costs roughly $39.90 at our price setting.
What to expect from the Cooper
Low and compact, it is a car for the drive more than the cargo. With 170 litres of luggage space by the EPA's measure, it takes about a large suitcase and a couple of soft bags.
Who rents the Cooper
It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month. It suits a summer weekend or a special occasion more than a move.
Renting it
A request for your dates gets you an offer from a person. We have none on the site right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. The car can come to your door in the Toronto area, or you pick it up at no charge.
Request, offer, keys
First you send a request with the car and the times. No card is charged for it. A real person reviews your request and sends an offer with the price spelled out. Payment happens only after you accept the offer.
Each car's calendar shows the days it is already booked. Trips of 7 days or more use the weekly rate, and shorter trips never cost more than it. At least 2 hours must separate the request from the pickup.
What we ask of drivers
Drivers need to be 18 or over, holding an Ontario G2 or G licence for the whole rental. Drivers under 26 can rent with a young driver fee each day. Your original licence, not a photo, comes with you to the handover.
The CarmaCars Protection Plan is priced in your offer by car and driver age, as one of three options for damage to the car. The deposit is released after the return, once the car is checked. If another person will drive, add them; they go through the same check.
One more step
The quickest way to a price is a request with your dates. It costs nothing.
