Renting the 2012 MINI Cooper
For a car with a driver, the 2012 MINI Cooper could fit; below, the figures and how booking works. Chauffeur bookings are by the hour, two hours minimum; send a request and we reply with the vehicle we can offer and the price.
The figures, translated
It uses the 1.6L 4-cylinder and front-wheel drive. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.
The EPA rates it at 7.6 L/100 km combined, so a 300 km weekend uses about 23 litres. At our price setting, driving 100 km costs about $13.30, and a 300 km weekend about $39.90.
Space, size and seats
As a sports car, it puts the driving first and the luggage second. EPA lists 170 litres of luggage space, enough for about a large suitcase and a couple of soft bags.
Best uses
It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one. It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car.
Getting one from us
This exact car is not in our fleet at the moment; a request asks us to look for one. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. Your request can name this exact car; the offer confirms what we can give you. We deliver across the Toronto area, or you collect the car from our location for free.
What to bring
You need an Ontario G2 or G licence, valid for the whole rental, and to be 18 or older. If you are under 26, expect a young driver fee each day; there is no upper age limit. At pickup, have your original licence and the payment card ready.
Before the keys change hands, one of three options must be in place for the car: OPCF 27, a card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Expect a deposit before every rental; its amount is set by the car. Every renter goes through the same check of licence and identity before the car is confirmed.
Requesting a car
Requests are free: choose a car, add your dates, and send it. We look at the request and send back an offer with the price for your exact dates. An offer is valid for 24 hours, and you pay only when you approve it.
Every car has its own daily, weekend, weekly and monthly rate. Trips of 7 days or more use the weekly rate, and shorter trips never cost more than it. Last-minute plans are fine with at least 2 hours of notice.
