The 2018 Tesla Model X: Executive car service
Executive car service: the 2018 Tesla Model X. Here is the car in plain words, and how renting one from CarmaCars works. Chauffeur bookings are by the hour, two hours minimum; send a request and we reply with the vehicle we can offer and the price.
The figures, translated
Its electric motor drives through a 1-speed automatic. Being electric, it is quiet and quick from a stop, and it charges at home, at work or at public chargers. All-wheel drive sends power to all four wheels, which helps on snow and wet roads; good tires still matter most.
Rated energy use is 23.7 kWh per 100 km. A full charge is rated for 475 km; plan for less in the cold. In energy, every 100 km costs about $3.56 at our price setting.
Is it right for your trip?
It suits winter trips and weekends with more gear than people. It suits client visits, weddings and special weekends.
What the Model X is like
An SUV body means more headroom and a taller cargo opening than a car of the same length.
Rent it from us
This exact car is not in our fleet at the moment; a request asks us to look for one. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. Want a car for specific dates? Put them in the request and we check. Delivery and pickup are both options across the Toronto area.
From request to keys
Send a request for the car and dates you have in mind. It is free and it commits you to nothing. We review it and reply with an offer that shows the whole price, delivery included when you asked for it. Approving the offer and paying it confirms the booking.
A car's page shows the deposit and the kilometres included each day. The longer the booking, the lower the rate a day tends to be. With 2 hours of notice or more, a same-day pickup can work when the car is free.
Before pickup
Every driver needs an Ontario G2 or G licence and must be 18 or older. There is no maximum age. Drivers under 26 pay a young driver fee each day. A card in the driver's own name is required at the handover.
You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. We hold the deposit shortly before pickup and release it after the return. The checks are the same for everyone: licence, identity and the agreement.
