A note on Java

Java is about 1,639 km from Toronto, outside our delivery area. We rent from Toronto only. If your trip to Java starts in the Toronto area, rent the car here.

If you are close to Java, you may also be near Selby, Lowry and Sitka.

Engine and fuel

The 1.8L 4-cylinder is what moves it, with front-wheel drive. It runs on regular gas. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

Expect about 23 litres for every 300 km, going by its 7.5 L/100 km combined rating. In energy, every 100 km costs about $11.63 at our price setting.

What the Corolla is like

As a mid-size car, it is easy to drive and park in the city. With 368 litres of luggage space by the EPA's measure, it takes about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

When the Corolla makes sense

It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else. It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy.

Renting the Corolla from CarmaCars

Tell us your dates and we check this car or the closest match. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 7 similar cars are listed below.

Booking in plain terms

You begin by requesting a car for your dates; the request is free. Back comes an offer you can read at your own pace, with every charge on it. You decide: approve and pay, or let it go. No charge either way until you approve.

Each car's calendar shows the days it is already booked. A single booking can run up to 365 days. For longer, it renews month after month. Requests for later the same day work when there are at least 2 hours to spare.

What we check

From age 18, with an Ontario G2 or G licence, you can send a request. Each day of the rental carries a young driver fee if a driver is under 26. Bring the card in your name that paid for the booking.

Damage to the car is handled one of three ways: OPCF 27 on your policy, a credit card's rental car benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is never taken when you book; it comes about 1 hour before pickup. Every renter goes through the same check of licence and identity before the car is confirmed.
