The numbers in plain words

It runs the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid, with all-wheel drive. It is a hybrid: the battery charges itself as you drive and brake, so there is nothing to plug in. All-wheel drive helps when pulling away on snow; braking and steering still depend on the tires.

Rated at 8.3 L/100 km combined, it needs around 25 litres for a 300 km round trip. At our price setting, driving 100 km costs about $12.87, and a 300 km weekend about $38.61.

How big it is

It is a straightforward car to drive, park and live with. The trunk holds 340 litres by the EPA's count: about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Who it is for

It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next. It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car.

Our A4 cars

Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. Ask for this exact car in your request, and we tell you what we can offer. We have none on the site right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Delivery covers the Toronto area, priced by distance in your offer; pickup from us is free.

Requirements

If you are 18 or over and hold an Ontario G2 or G licence, you can rent. Drivers under 26 pay a young driver fee for each day, shown on each car's page. Bring a card in your name; a card in someone else's name cannot be used.

If your own policy has OPCF 27 or your card covers rental cars, use that; otherwise add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is released after the return, once the car is checked. Additional drivers can be added; each one meets the same rules and signs the agreement.

How to book

Every booking starts as a request: the car, the dates and where you want it. Nothing is charged to send one. Back comes an offer you can read at your own pace, with every charge on it. Approve it and the car is booked; decline it and nothing happens.

The car pages show each car's rates, deposit and kilometres included. A single booking can run up to 365 days. For longer, it renews month after month. Give us 2 hours or more before the pickup and we can usually make it work.
