What the specs mean

The booking steps

You ask for the car online with your dates, and nothing is charged to send it. Then we send an offer. The offer shows the price before 13% HST and the deposit. An offer is valid for 24 hours, and you pay only when you approve it.

A car's page shows the deposit and the kilometres included each day. Weekly pricing starts at 7 days, and a trip never costs more than that rate for a week. A request can be for today, as long as the pickup is at least 2 hours away.

Renting: the basics

From age 18, with an Ontario G2 or G licence, you can send a request. Drivers under 26 pay a young driver fee for each day, shown on each car's page. You show your original licence and your card when we hand you the keys.

Before pickup, choose how damage to the car is handled: your auto policy (OPCF 27), your credit card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit is held for every rental, about 1 hour before you get the car. Extra drivers are welcome; each one is checked and signs the agreement.
