Java and the Q5

We rent from Toronto only. If your trip to Java starts in the Toronto area, rent the car here. We have no location in Java; CarmaCars rents from Toronto, about 1,072 km away.

If you are near Java, Tara Village, South Side and Howe are close too.

What the specs mean

It is powered by the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo, with all-wheel drive. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. All-wheel drive sends power to all four wheels, which helps on snow and wet roads; good tires still matter most.

Its combined rating is 9.9 L/100 km, which means roughly 30 litres for 300 km. A 300 km weekend costs about $51.99 in energy at our price setting.

Size and space

As a compact SUV, it sits higher than a sedan, which makes getting in and loading easier.

Who the Q5 suits

It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month. It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going.

Can I rent it?

Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. If you want this one, say so in the request; we confirm before you pay. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates.

How booking works

You start by asking: a car, a start time, an end time. Asking is free. Our team answers with an offer: the confirmed car, the dates and the full price. You have 24 hours to approve an offer, and payment comes with your approval.

Each car has its own page with its photos, its rates and its calendar. Stay as long as you need: up to 365 days a booking, then renew. Last-minute plans are fine with at least 2 hours of notice.

Who qualifies

If you are 18 or over and hold an Ontario G2 or G licence, you can rent. From 26, no age fee applies; below it, a daily young driver fee does. Payment is by a card in your name, shown with your licence at pickup.

You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. We hold the deposit shortly before pickup and release it after the return. Each renter is checked the same way, before the booking is confirmed.
