A note on Java

CarmaCars is based in Toronto, about 770 km from Java, and does not deliver there. We rent from Toronto only. If your trip to Java starts in the Toronto area, rent the car here.

The pages for Lucks, Ebenezer and Shockoe cover the areas next door.

What the specs mean

The 3.0L 6-cylinder turbo, paired with an 8-speed automatic, drives it. It runs on diesel, sold at most highway stations. Rear-wheel drive gives balanced handling; in winter, the tires make the biggest difference.

Expect about 27 litres for every 300 km, going by its 9.0 L/100 km combined rating. A weekend of 300 km comes to about $41.85 at our price setting.

Who rents the 1500

It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town. It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going.

Space, size and seats

As a pickup truck, it has an open bed for things that would never fit in a trunk.

Driver requirements

At pickup you must be 18 or older and carry your original G2 or G licence. From 26, no age fee applies; below it, a daily young driver fee does. A card in your name pays for the rental, and we see it with your licence at pickup.

For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. We hold the deposit shortly before pickup and release it after the return. We verify licences and identity for every renter, with no exceptions.

From request to keys

A booking with us starts as a request that you send without paying. Our offer spells out the rate, the delivery fee if any, and the deposit. Offers stay open for 24 hours. Approve one and pay to book the car.

The car pages show each car's rates, deposit and kilometres included. From 7 days, the weekly rate applies; up to 365 days, a trip never costs more than the monthly rate. A pickup can be as soon as 2 hours after your request, when the car is free.
