The 2017 Tesla Model X: Limo service
If a car with a driver is the plan, the 2017 Tesla Model X is worth a look; here is why. Chauffeur bookings are by the hour, two hours minimum; send a request and we reply with the vehicle we can offer and the price.
What the specs mean
Under the hood: the electric motor and all-wheel drive. Being electric, it is quiet and quick from a stop, and it charges at home, at work or at public chargers. With all-wheel drive, it pulls away more surely on slippery roads, though it does not stop any shorter.
For every 100 km it uses about 23.3 kWh. On paper it goes 475 km between charges, less in winter. At our price setting, it costs about $3.50 to drive 100 km.
What to expect from the Model X
Its SUV body gives a high seating position and an easy load height.
Best uses
It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town. It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month.
Renting this car
Ask for your dates, and we reply with what we can offer. There is no exact match in our fleet today. Request it and we search for one, or take a similar car. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. Delivery covers the Toronto area, priced by distance in your offer; pickup from us is free.
How a booking comes together
You begin by requesting a car for your dates; the request is free. If the car is free, you get an offer with the full price; if not, we suggest another car. The booking is confirmed when you approve the offer and pay it.
You can check any car's calendar before you send a request. A week or more is priced at the weekly rate, from 7 days. Pickups need at least 2 hours of notice from the time you send the request.
Before you rent
Drivers need to be 18 or over, holding an Ontario G2 or G licence for the whole rental. Drivers below 26 pay a fee each day of the rental, and older drivers pay none. Bring the card in your name that paid for the booking.
Liability to other people is included in every rate. For the car itself, pick your own policy (OPCF 27), a card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Each car shows its deposit, and we take it about 1 hour before pickup. Extra drivers are welcome; each one is checked and signs the agreement.
