Specs, explained

The 1.8L 4-cylinder does the work, through an automatic (CVT). It runs on regular gas. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.

A combined rating of 7.6 L/100 km works out to about 23 litres per 300 km. Expect about $11.78 per 100 km at our price setting.

Space and size

Its car body is low and settled, with a separate trunk. The EPA measures its luggage space at 368 litres, roughly about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Who it is for

It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going. It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next.

Booking in plain terms

Requests are free: choose a car, add your dates, and send it. Someone on our team confirms the car is free for those dates and sends you an offer with every charge listed. Offers stay open for 24 hours. Approve one and pay to book the car.

The rates you see on a car's page are the rates in your offer. Trips of 7 days or more use the weekly rate, and shorter trips never cost more than it. Allow 2 hours or more between your request and the pickup time.

Requirements

Drivers from 18 up, with an Ontario G2 or G licence, are welcome. Young drivers, under 26, can rent too, with a fee for each day. Payment is by a card in your name, shown with your licence at pickup.

Choose before pickup how damage to the car is handled: your policy with OPCF 27, your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Your deposit is held for the rental and released after the car comes back and is checked. Before confirming, we verify the licence and identity of each driver.
