Engine and fuel

Under the hood: the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo and front-wheel drive. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

By the EPA's combined rating of 7.8 L/100 km, 300 km takes about 23 litres. A weekend of 300 km comes to about $40.95 at our price setting.

Best uses

It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car. It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next.

Space, size and seats

It is a straightforward car to drive, park and live with. With 368 litres of luggage space by the EPA's measure, it takes about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Booking with CarmaCars

You choose a car and your dates online and send a request. Sending it costs nothing. We answer with a written offer: the car, the dates, the price and the deposit. You pay only once you approve the offer.

Each car shows its rate for a day, a weekend day, a week and a month. Stay as long as you need: up to 365 days a booking, then renew. The shortest notice we accept before a pickup is 2 hours.

Before you rent

You need an Ontario G2 or G licence, valid for the whole rental, and to be 18 or older. The daily young driver fee is shown on each car's page, for drivers under 26. A credit card in your name is needed, except on cars marked "no credit card needed", which take debit.

Choose before pickup how damage to the car is handled: your policy with OPCF 27, your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit is held for every rental, about 1 hour before you get the car. We verify licences and identity for every renter, with no exceptions.

Next step

Ready? Request the car. If you change your mind before approving the offer, nothing is charged.
