Ruby and the A4

Ruby is about 2,787 km from Toronto, outside our delivery area. If you are starting from Toronto, rent the car here and drive it to Ruby.

Beetville, Pella and Burley are the closest places to Ruby on our list.

Reading the spec sheet

The 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid with all-wheel drive is the powertrain to look at. It is a hybrid: the battery charges itself as you drive and brake, so there is nothing to plug in. All-wheel drive helps when pulling away on snow; braking and steering still depend on the tires.

The combined figure, 8.0 L/100 km, means roughly 24 litres for 300 km. In energy, every 100 km costs about $12.40 at our price setting.

Good uses for the A4

It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy. It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car.

How big it is

As a compact car, it has a closed trunk that keeps luggage out of sight. The trunk holds 340 litres by the EPA's count: about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Renting this car

Ask for this exact car in your request, and we tell you what we can offer. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below.

How a booking comes together

Send the request with your dates first; no money changes hands at that stage. We answer with a written offer: the car, the dates, the price and the deposit. Approve it and the car is booked; decline it and nothing happens.

The car pages show each car's rates, deposit and kilometres included. A single booking can run up to 365 days. For longer, it renews month after month. Allow 2 hours or more between your request and the pickup time.

Before you rent

Every driver must be 18 or older with an Ontario G2 or G licence. Under 26? You can rent, with a daily young driver fee shown on the car's page. A card in the driver's own name is required at the handover.

The CarmaCars Protection Plan is one of three options for damage to the car; the others are OPCF 27 on your policy or a card with rental car benefits. Your deposit is held for the rental and released after the car comes back and is checked. Each renter is checked the same way, before the booking is confirmed.
