Loaner car with this car
Here is the 2011 BMW Active E from the angle of someone searching for loaner car. After a collision, your insurer may pay for the rental once your adjuster approves it. When your adjuster approves a rental, we can bill your insurance company directly.
Engine and fuel
The electric motor, paired with a 1-speed automatic, drives it. Being electric, it is quiet and quick from a stop, and it charges at home, at work or at public chargers. Rear-wheel drive gives balanced handling; in winter, the tires make the biggest difference.
Rated energy use is 20.5 kWh per 100 km. On paper it goes 151 km between charges, less in winter. In money, 1,000 km costs about $30.80 at our price setting.
A good match for
It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one. It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town.
What to expect from the Active E
It is a straightforward car to drive, park and live with. Luggage space is rated at 170 litres: about a large suitcase and a couple of soft bags.
Renting this car
Want a car for specific dates? Put them in the request and we check. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. Delivery and pickup are both options across the Toronto area.
Renting: the basics
You need an Ontario G2 or G licence, valid for the whole rental, and to be 18 or older. Drivers under 26 can rent with a young driver fee each day. At pickup, have your original licence and the payment card ready.
Third-party liability is included in the rate. For damage to the car, you choose one of three options before pickup. We hold the deposit shortly before pickup and release it after the return. If another person will drive, add them; they go through the same check.
Booking made plain
Tell us the car and the dates in a request. There is no fee for asking. You receive an offer with the price, the deposit and what is included. Nothing is charged until you approve it and pay.
You can see every car's calendar and rates before you send anything. Need it longer than 365 days? Renew with a new agreement when the booking ends. Plan for at least 2 hours between sending the request and picking up the car.
Your move
Ready? Request the car. If you change your mind before approving the offer, nothing is charged.
