Loaner car: the RUF

Renting the RUF as a car while yours is off the road works like any rental with us: a free request, an offer, then the keys. When your adjuster approves a rental, we can bill your insurance company directly. After a collision, your insurer may pay for the rental once your adjuster approves it.

In our fleet

Ask for your dates, and we reply with what we can offer. We have no RUF on the site right now. Send a request with the model you want, and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are below if you need one sooner. Delivery and pickup are both options across the Toronto area.

Request, offer, keys

Requests are free: choose a car, add your dates, and send it. Our reply is an offer that lists the rate, the kilometres included and any delivery fee. If the offer works for you, approve and pay to confirm. If not, you owe nothing.

A car's page shows the deposit and the kilometres included each day. A single booking can run up to 365 days. For longer, it renews month after month. We need at least 2 hours of notice before a pickup.

The rules, briefly

Ontario G2 or G licence holders aged 18 and up can request a car. From 26, no age fee applies; below it, a daily young driver fee does. You show your original licence and your card when we hand you the keys.

The CarmaCars Protection Plan is priced in your offer by car and driver age, as one of three options for damage to the car. A deposit is held for every rental, about 1 hour before you get the car. Everyone who will drive signs the agreement after the licence check.
