If a car while yours is off the road is the plan, the smart is worth a look; here is why. When your adjuster approves a rental, we can bill your insurance company directly. After a collision, your insurer may pay for the rental once your adjuster approves it.

What the specs mean

The EPA does not rate this model year for fuel use; heavier trucks and vans are often not rated.

Who it is for

It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month. It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one.

Can you rent one?

Ask for your dates, and we reply with what we can offer. We have no smart on the site right now. Send a request with the model you want, and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. We meet you with the car at the time we confirm, at your address or ours.

Booking in plain terms

Nothing to pay up front: the first step is simply a request. You then get an offer from us with the car, the dates and the total before tax. The car is yours for those dates once you approve and pay the offer.

Each car shows its own extra kilometre rate, so nothing surprises you later. One booking runs up to 365 days, and a longer stay renews with a new agreement. Plan for at least 2 hours between sending the request and picking up the car.

Licence, age and card

You must be 18 or older and hold a valid Ontario G2 or G licence. Under 26? You can rent, with a daily young driver fee shown on the car's page. At the handover we check your licence and the card in your name.

For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Deposits are listed car by car, so you can compare before you ask. Licence and identity checks happen before the booking is confirmed.
