Under the hood

The engine is the 2.0L 4-cylinder, with front-wheel drive and a 10-speed automatic. It runs on regular gas. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.

Rated at 6.6 L/100 km combined, it needs around 20 litres for a 300 km round trip. For 1,000 km, budget about $102.30 at our price setting.

Inside and out

As a compact car, it is easy to drive and park in the city. The EPA measures its luggage space at 510 litres, roughly a family's bags for a long weekend.

When the Corolla makes sense

It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy. It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car.

Renting it

If you want this one, say so in the request; we confirm before you pay. There is no exact match in our fleet today. Request it and we search for one, or take a similar car. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now.

What happens when you ask for a car

Choose the car and your times, then send a request. A request does not hold the car, and it costs nothing. The offer comes from a person, not a robot, and it carries the full price. Approve it and the car is booked; decline it and nothing happens.

The car pages show each car's rates, deposit and kilometres included. Trips of 7 days or more use the weekly rate, and shorter trips never cost more than it. Plan for at least 2 hours between sending the request and picking up the car.

Who can rent

You must be 18 or older and hold a valid Ontario G2 or G licence. We accept young drivers; those under 26 pay a daily fee. We check that the card and the licence carry the same name.

Before the keys change hands, one of three options must be in place for the car: OPCF 27, a card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit comes about 1 hour before you get the car, not at booking. Each extra driver is checked the same way and signs the rental agreement.

Make a request

The next step is yours: send a request whenever you are ready.
