The 2019 Audi A3: Luup alternative
Luup alternative: the 2019 Audi A3. Here is the car in plain words, and how renting one from CarmaCars works. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price.
Reading the spec sheet
It is powered by the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo, with front-wheel drive. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.
Rated at 8.1 L/100 km combined, it needs around 24 litres for a 300 km round trip. Driving 300 km costs roughly $37.68 at our price setting.
Living with the A3
A car body like this keeps the weight low, so it feels settled on the highway. Its 340 litres of luggage space fit about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.
Is it right for your trip?
It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one. It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car.
Can you rent one?
Similar cars are below if you need one sooner. A request for your dates gets you an offer from a person. We have none on the site right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. We deliver across the Toronto area, or you collect the car from our location for free.
How renting with us works
To book, you request the car for your dates. There is no charge to send it and no obligation. A person replies with an offer priced for your dates, not an estimate. Approve it and the car is booked; decline it and nothing happens.
Each car page lists what is included and what costs extra. Trips of 7 days or more use the weekly rate, and shorter trips never cost more than it. A pickup can be as soon as 2 hours after your request, when the car is free.
Before you rent
You need an Ontario G2 or G licence, valid for the whole rental, and to be 18 or older. We accept young drivers; those under 26 pay a daily fee. Bring the card you paid with and your original licence to the handover.
You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is released after the return, once the car is checked. A quick licence and identity check happens before we confirm any booking.
Still deciding?
Ask for the car, read the offer, approve it if it suits you.
