What the figures tell you

Power comes from the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo, driving through a 7-speed automatic. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

Rated at 7.9 L/100 km combined, it needs around 24 litres for a 300 km round trip. In money, 1,000 km costs about $138.30 at our price setting.

A good match for

It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else. It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy.

How big it is

It is a straightforward car to drive, park and live with. Its length is 4.76 m, so it is on the long side. Check the size of a tight parking spot. Luggage space is 368 litres, enough for about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Can I rent it?

What you need to rent

Drivers need to be 18 or over, holding an Ontario G2 or G licence for the whole rental. Under 26? You can rent, with a daily young driver fee shown on the car's page. At pickup, have your original licence and the payment card ready.

Third-party liability is included in the rate. For damage to the car, you choose one of three options before pickup. There is a deposit for each rental, taken shortly before pickup rather than at booking. Each renter is checked the same way, before the booking is confirmed.

How it works

To get started, send a request for the car and dates. You are not charged for it. You receive an offer with the price, the deposit and what is included. The car is yours for those dates once you approve and pay the offer.

The rates you see on a car's page are the rates in your offer. The monthly rate covers a booking of up to 365 days. Allow 2 hours or more between your request and the pickup time.
