Luup alternative: black 2021 Audi A4 Progressiv in Danforth

Luup alternative: the 2021 Audi A4 Progressiv

If a rental car is the plan, the 2021 Audi A4 Progressiv is worth a look; here is why. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price.

Danforth and the A4

If you are starting from Toronto, rent the car here and drive it to Danforth. CarmaCars is based in Toronto, about 925 km from Danforth, and does not deliver there.

Irish Settlement, Eaton and Forest City are the closest places to Danforth on our list.

Under the hood

It uses the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid and all-wheel drive. As a hybrid, it does best in stop-and-go traffic, where the electric motor does more of the work. With all-wheel drive, it pulls away more surely on slippery roads, though it does not stop any shorter.

The combined figure, 8.3 L/100 km, means roughly 25 litres for 300 km. For 1,000 km, budget about $128.70 at our price setting.

Practical details

Being a compact car, it is easy to park and comfortable on longer drives. Luggage space is 340 litres, enough for about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Best uses

It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car. Its all-wheel drive suits winter roads and trips to ski country.

Our A4 cars

Your request can name this exact car; the offer confirms what we can give you. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below.

What to bring

Drivers from 18 up, with an Ontario G2 or G licence, are welcome. Each day of the rental carries a young driver fee if a driver is under 26. The card must be in the driver's name, and we check it with the licence in person.

Choose before pickup how damage to the car is handled: your policy with OPCF 27, your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Each car shows its deposit, and we take it about 1 hour before pickup. Every driver's licence and identity are checked before we confirm.

Booking, step by step

To book, you request the car for your dates. There is no charge to send it and no obligation. We answer with a written offer: the car, the dates, the price and the deposit. Payment happens only after you accept the offer.

The rates you see on a car's page are the rates in your offer. Bookings run from one day up to 365 days at a time. Short notice is fine: 2 hours is the minimum before a pickup.
