Luup alternative and the 2021 Audi A4 Progressiv

Luup alternative: the 2021 Audi A4 Progressiv. Here is the car in plain words, and how renting one from CarmaCars works. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price.

Pine Tree and the A4

We have no location in Pine Tree; CarmaCars rents from Toronto, about 900 km away. If you need it in Pine Tree itself, send a request and we will tell you honestly whether we can help.

Nearby places include Wilbanks, Penders Crossroads and Holdens Crossroads.

Under the hood

The 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid with all-wheel drive is the powertrain to look at. As a hybrid, it does best in stop-and-go traffic, where the electric motor does more of the work. All-wheel drive sends power to all four wheels, which helps on snow and wet roads; good tires still matter most.

It is rated at 8.3 L/100 km combined; 300 km takes about 25 litres. At our price setting, 1,000 km costs about $128.70.

Is it right for your trip?

It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month. It suits client visits, weddings and special weekends.

Room inside

A car body like this keeps the weight low, so it feels settled on the highway. The EPA measures its luggage space at 340 litres, roughly about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Renting the A4 from CarmaCars

Ask for your dates, and we reply with what we can offer. This exact car is not in our fleet at the moment; a request asks us to look for one. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below.

What to have ready

The minimum age is 18, and the licence must be an Ontario G2 or G, valid for the whole trip. If any driver is under 26, a young driver fee is added for each day. At the handover we check your licence and the card in your name.

For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is released after the return, once the car is checked. We check every driver; it takes a few minutes and protects everyone.

Requesting a car

Tell us the car and the dates in a request. There is no fee for asking. You then get an offer from us with the car, the dates and the total before tax. The booking is confirmed when you approve the offer and pay it.

You can check any car's calendar before you send a request. From one day to 365, a single booking covers it. Pickups need at least 2 hours of notice from the time you send the request.
