A note on Mount Mitchell

We rent from Toronto only. If your trip to Mount Mitchell starts in the Toronto area, rent the car here. CarmaCars is based in Toronto, about 1,792 km from Mount Mitchell, and does not deliver there.

The figures, translated

The engine is the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid, with all-wheel drive and a 7-speed automatic. As a hybrid, it does best in stop-and-go traffic, where the electric motor does more of the work. All-wheel drive helps when pulling away on snow; braking and steering still depend on the tires.

It is rated 8.3 L/100 km combined: about 25 litres every 300 km. A 300 km round trip costs roughly $38.61 at our price setting.

When the A4 makes sense

It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else. It suits client visits, weddings and special weekends.

What to expect from the A4

As a compact car, it is easy to drive and park in the city. The EPA lists 340 litres for luggage, roughly about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Can I rent it?

This exact car is not in our fleet at the moment; a request asks us to look for one. If you want this one, say so in the request; we confirm before you pay. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now.

Driver requirements

You need an Ontario G2 or G licence, valid for the whole rental, and to be 18 or older. Under 26, a young driver fee applies for each day of the rental. A credit card in your name is needed, except on cars marked "no credit card needed", which take debit.

Before the keys change hands, one of three options must be in place for the car: OPCF 27, a card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Your deposit is held about 1 hour ahead of pickup and released after the return. Extra drivers are welcome; each one is checked and signs the agreement.

How it works

Requests come first at CarmaCars. You name the car and the dates, and we take it from there. Our team answers with an offer: the confirmed car, the dates and the full price. Pay when you approve, not a minute before.

Each listing shows the daily, weekly and monthly rate of that car. The longer the booking, the lower the rate a day tends to be. Same-day requests are fine with at least 2 hours of notice, when the car is free.

Questions first?

Ready? Request the car. If you change your mind before approving the offer, nothing is charged.
