Luup alternative and the 2016 Audi SQ5

For a rental car, the 2016 Audi SQ5 could fit; below, the figures and how booking works. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price.

The figures, translated

The powertrain here is the 3.0L 6-cylinder supercharged with all-wheel drive and an 8-speed automatic. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. All-wheel drive sends power to all four wheels, which helps on snow and wet roads; good tires still matter most.

It is rated at 12.2 L/100 km combined, so budget about 37 litres for 300 km. The fuel for 100 km comes to about $21.35 at our price setting.

How big it is

As a compact SUV, it sits higher than a sedan, which makes getting in and loading easier.

Who it is for

It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while. It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy.

Can you rent one?

Want a car for specific dates? Put them in the request and we check. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. We deliver around Toronto; pickup at our location is free.

What happens when you ask for a car

Every booking starts as a request: the car, the dates and where you want it. Nothing is charged to send one. We check the calendar and your details, then send you an offer with the total. Payment happens only after you accept the offer.

Each car's calendar shows the days it is already booked. For longer stays, each booking of up to 365 days renews with a new agreement. Same-day requests are fine with at least 2 hours of notice, when the car is free.

Rules for renters

Every driver must be 18 or older with an Ontario G2 or G licence. We accept young drivers; those under 26 pay a daily fee. Cars marked "no credit card needed" accept a debit card in your name; the others need a credit card.

The CarmaCars Protection Plan is one of three options for damage to the car; the others are OPCF 27 on your policy or a card with rental car benefits. The deposit is taken shortly before pickup, and the balance comes back after the return. Extra drivers are welcome; each one is checked and signs the agreement.

When you know your dates

The quickest way to a price is a request with your dates. It costs nothing.
