Luup alternative: BMW 228

Luup alternative: the BMW 228

For a rental car, here is what the BMW 228 brings, and how to request one. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price.

Engine and fuel

The EPA does not rate this model year for fuel use; heavier trucks and vans are often not rated.

What to expect from the 228

It is a straightforward car to drive, park and live with.

Best uses

It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town. It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while.

Our 228 cars

Ask for this exact car in your request, and we tell you what we can offer. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. Delivery covers the Toronto area, priced by distance in your offer; pickup from us is free.

What we check

Ontario G2 or G licence holders aged 18 and up can request a car. Drivers under 26 can rent with a young driver fee each day. A card in the driver's own name is required at the handover.

Before pickup, choose how damage to the car is handled: your auto policy (OPCF 27), your credit card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is released after the return, once the car is checked. A quick licence and identity check happens before we confirm any booking.

What happens when you ask for a car

The first step is a free request: which car, which dates, and how you want to get it. We confirm the details and send an offer. It lists the rental, any delivery and any add-ons. If it suits you, approve it and pay. Until then, nothing is charged.

Every car on the site has a page of its own, with its calendar and its rates. Trips of 7 days or more use the weekly rate, and shorter trips never cost more than it. A pickup can be as soon as 2 hours after your request, when the car is free.

Ready when you are

A request costs nothing, and the offer tells you everything.
