Luup alternative and the 2011 BMW X6

If a rental car is the plan, the 2011 BMW X6 is worth a look; here is why. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price.

Under the hood

The 3.0L 6-cylinder turbo does the work, through an 8-speed automatic. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. All-wheel drive sends power to all four wheels, which helps on snow and wet roads; good tires still matter most.

Expect about 38 litres for every 300 km, going by its 12.7 L/100 km combined rating. In money, 1,000 km costs about $222.30 at our price setting.

How big it is

Being an SUV, it handles luggage, strollers and sports gear well.

Best uses

It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one. It uses more fuel than most, so it suits shorter trips or people who need its size.

Getting this car from us

If you want this one, say so in the request; we confirm before you pay. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. We hand every car over in person, at your address or at our location.

Driver basics

We rent to drivers aged 18 and up who hold an Ontario G2 or G licence. There is no maximum age. Drivers under 26 pay a young driver fee each day. Debit works on cars marked "no credit card needed"; the others take a credit card.

If you have no auto policy and no card benefit, the CarmaCars Protection Plan is the third option, priced in your offer. Deposits are listed car by car, so you can compare before you ask. Licence and identity checks happen before the booking is confirmed.

How a booking comes together

A request is free and takes a few minutes: the car, your dates, and pickup or delivery. If the car is free, you get an offer with the full price; if not, we suggest another car. Only an approved, paid offer books the car.

The rates you see on a car's page are the rates in your offer. A week or more is priced at the weekly rate, from 7 days. The minimum notice is 2 hours, so an afternoon pickup can be requested in the morning.

Over to you

Questions, dates or both: put them in a request and we answer.
