About the 2013 Buick Encore
Searching for Luup alternative? Here is the 2013 Buick Encore: what it is like and how to rent it. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price.
What the specs mean
The engine is the 1.4L 4-cylinder turbo, with front-wheel drive and a 6-speed automatic. It runs on regular gas. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.
It is rated 8.4 L/100 km combined: about 25 litres every 300 km. Driving 300 km costs roughly $39.06 at our price setting.
Inside and out
As a compact SUV, it sits higher than a sedan, which makes getting in and loading easier.
Good uses for the Encore
It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month. Families, skiers and anyone with bulky luggage.

Driver requirements
Drivers 18 and older can rent with a valid Ontario G2 or G licence. Young drivers, under 26, can rent too, with a fee for each day. You show your original licence and your card when we hand you the keys.
Three options cover damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your auto policy, a credit card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book. Every renter goes through the same check of licence and identity before the car is confirmed.
From your dates to the handover
You request the car online with your dates, and nothing is charged to send it. An offer follows, with the car we confirm and the full price for your dates. Approve the offer to book the car. That is the moment you pay, not before.
Every car on the site has a page of its own, with its calendar and its rates. Weekly pricing starts at 7 days, and a trip never costs more than that rate for a week. Short notice is fine: 2 hours is the minimum before a pickup.
