Luup alternative and the 2012 Buick Verano

Want to know if the 2012 Buick Verano suits a rental car? Read on. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price.

Reading the spec sheet

Its 2.4L 4-cylinder drives through a 6-speed automatic. It runs on regular gas. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.

It is rated at 9.7 L/100 km combined; 300 km takes about 29 litres. Per 100 km, plan on roughly $15.04.

Room inside

It is a straightforward car to drive, park and live with. The EPA lists 396 litres for luggage, roughly about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Who the Verano suits

It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else. It suits commuters, couples and business trips.

In our fleet

If you want this one, say so in the request; we confirm before you pay. Similar cars are below if you need one sooner. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Delivery to your door is available across the Toronto area.

The booking steps

Send a request for the car and dates you have in mind. It is free and it commits you to nothing. A person checks the request and sends you an offer with the full price. You decide: approve and pay, or let it go. No charge either way until you approve.

A car's page shows the deposit and the kilometres included each day. A rental of 7 days or longer is priced at the weekly rate. Requests for later the same day work when there are at least 2 hours to spare.

What you need to rent

We rent to drivers aged 18 and up who hold an Ontario G2 or G licence. The daily young driver fee is shown on each car's page, for drivers under 26. A card in the driver's own name is required at the handover.

The CarmaCars Protection Plan is one of three options for damage to the car; the others are OPCF 27 on your policy or a card with rental car benefits. Your deposit is held about 1 hour ahead of pickup and released after the return. Each driver named on the booking signs the rental agreement.
